Commens & Critiques are welcome as usual
I used FumeFX to drive the swirly motion of the basic skirt layer then piped that motion into Particle Flow and wrapped it into Glu3D using it´s PWrapper. For all the splashes and splash streaks i used the Particle Flow Toolbox #3 which gives way better and more versatile control over all the motion going on than the regular Particle Flow operators. Especially "Random Walk", "Blur Wind" and "Cache Disk" came handy here. Then again the particles were wrapped into a PWrapper for meta particle generation. So it´s a pretty good canon between FumeFX and Particle Flow Toolbox #3 for the motion. I simulated 4 layers of water motion/splashes in total. Then i set up a very straight foreward water/glas VRay material not even worth to be explained any further. To have a nice alpha channel i modeled the woman´s chest and upper legs in lowpoly and camera projected the stock image on it using CameraMapperPixel on a standard material, as basic as it can be The lights and camera were matched to the stock image and then every layer was rendered with VRay. Post effects done in PhotoShop.

Color corrention and little glow/grain here and there) Productiontime was about 10day on and off excluding rendertime. Now the really interesting facts about this location ;-) it´s a training spot for our army near my parents house. The three destroyed tanks are a memorial of WW2. The day i took this picture the sky was brilliant for taking reference pictures. Nearlly a clear 128,128,128 RGB value of the sky :-D

"Particle Planting" - Filling a stadium with over 44,000 chairs

It took me one work day only for R&D plus setup to plant over 44,000 chairs into a stadium. That displays how versatile PFlow really is!
One single PFlow system controls all 44,000 chairs consisting of 6 different types of chairs and shaders. Notice that the flow even builds the flag of Katar in the upper right corner of the image.
Created with Autodesk 3D Studio MAX 8 with Particle Flow Toolbox#1 by Anselm von Seherr - Thoß (aka. PsychoSilence) for an "ASIA GAMES 2006" spot. © 2006 BlackMountain VFX Stuttgart/Germany (www.blackmountain.de).

i wrote a tutorial about it:

the task was to enhance the exported model in max with shading ONLY. I used VRay SSS Shaders and BodyPaint for the texturing.
story: "donny default" as i call him is a vamp and gets angry from frame to frame...

This scene was one of my sparetime light testings. i rendered and enlightened it in 5 different light situations such as daaylight, evening, afternoon, night, early morning...

the car was taken from the de espona collection so no credits for that.

the enviroment was moddeled in only a few hours only to have some filling for the scene.

the idea with the turtle came later on...i needed a reason for the driver to hit the breaks hard...

so finally this is no serious work of mine. no attempt to photorealism at all. just to practise lighting and vray settings to optimise speed...don´t be to harsh
